Geothermal Exploration in Montserrat, Caribbean

Montserrat is located in the Caribbean and, as with many of the islands of the Caribbean Lesser Antilles is volcanic in origin. As a result, many of the islands have the potential for geothermal electrical power generation. EGS Inc.was awarded the contract by Government of Montserrat in June 2009 to perform geothermal exploration studies on the island. As the first stage of the exploration, EGS completed detailed geologic, geophysical and geochemical evaluation program.

Geothermal Prospects Evaluation Enel Latinamerica, Chile

EGS completed a study in 2010 for Enel Latinamerica (Chile) Limitada (ELA) to prepare an independent assessment of its geothermal properties in Chile. Specifically EGS was requested to complete a “volumetric, stored heat assessment” using methodologies commonly used in the geothermal industry for projects where limited or no drilling data were available. Nine geothermal projects in Chile were assessed
