EGS Offered Services

EGS offers expert assistance across the entire spectrum of geothermal exploration and development. Our professionals are involved at the grass-roots level and in the evaluation of a potential resource for direct use or for a power plant. EGS also provides assistance with the regulatory and legal support for development of a resource. EGS’ services include providing oversight and management for all types of geophysical exploration techniques.

Initial Resource Exploration and Evaluation

• Remote Sensing prospect reconnaissance via orthophoto, satellite imagery, SRTM, LIDAR
• Geologic mapping
• Structural interpretation and evaluation

These initial activities enable the geologists to better assess the geothermal potential of an area and provide the basis for establishing accurate geologic models on which further exploration efforts are based.

Field Data Acquisition

• Geochemical sampling and data interpretation
• MT, electrical and gravity surveys - design, field supervision and data interpretation
• Shallow & intermediate temperature hole programs, design, implementation and interpretation of results
• Site selection for confirmation drilling

Resource Development

• Preliminary resource estimates
• Locations of field development wells
• Subsurface visualization via color and 3D graphics

Permitting

• Local, state and federal agency contact and coordination
• Document preparation and submittal (including EIS/EIR)
• Public meeting/public participation assistance
• Legal support

Compliance & Review

• Ongoing sampling and monitoring of a site for compliance and reporting requirements
